Shohei the two time animus AL MVP is looking for a new winning team. He has been looking at the top teams in the league. Ohtani is not pitching in the 2024 MLB season because he is undergoing his second UCL surgery.
The Texas Rangers have dropped out of the race in trying to get Ohtani and it’s down to four teams.
The Los Angeles Dodgers, Toronto Blue Jays, The Chicago Cubs, and The Seattle Mariners.
The Chicago Cubs are the only team that has sent an offer but the Dodgers, Jays, and the Mariners still show interest.
Shohei wants $500 million dollars and it will be the biggest pitching contract in MLB history. There were originally 10 teams that were pursuing Ohtani and now it’s down to four.
