Today, Wednesday, December 5th, In our Student Union, they served us a Mediterranean-themed meal. We had Chicken Shawarma as the entree.
This Chicken was not seasoned well, and it was cold. We spoke to Laney Wegner about the Chicken, which “had a lot of fat on it and was overall unenjoyable to eat. I give it a 4/10.” One side we had plain was Basmati Rice which was nothing special compared to other kinds of rice, but it was still tasty.
We will give it a 6/10 for being warm and cooked to be the correct texture. The highlight of this meal was 100 percent pita bread. Many people dipped the bread in hummus or ranch to give it more flavor. Makena also had the pita bread and ranch combination, and she loved it. She said it was such a random combination that she would never have thought of, but she really enjoyed it.
We rate the pita bread and ranch combo a 10/10. Maggie had pita bread, hummus, and Tzatziki sauce. The hummus sauce, in her opinion, was too grainy and one of the least favorite hummus she has ever had. However, she thought the Tzatziki sauce was delicious and the perfect texture to put on her pita bread. She would rate the hummus, Tzatziki sauce, and pita bread combo a 6/10 just because of her negative feelings towards the hummus.
Overall we give this meal a 6/10, making this lunch YUMMY.
