This week Makena, Maggie, and I decided to taste different Starbucks Holiday drinks in preparation for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I ordered a Grande Iced Chai with oat milk and Pumpkin Cream Coldfoam as my holiday drink to review. I went to the Clearfork location, and my drink tasted great, except my Pumpkin Cold foam was completely left off my order. I decided I would try again the next day, but unfortunately, the Pumpkin Cold Foam was included in my order but was just not in my drink. I normally would write this off as a simple mistake but the fact that it occurred two days in a row shows carelessness and laziness. I was still determined to try the drink with the Pumpkin Cold Foam, so I changed to the Hulen location, and finally, I got the Pumpkin Cold Foam included in my order. This drink is creamy, flavorful, and just pure happiness in my mouth. The pumpkin added the perfect amount of sweetness to the drink. I would absolutely get this drink again, but the fact that I spent a total of $16.36 is very frustrating, only to get my drink correct ⅓ times. Overall I give this experience and drink a 7/10.
I, Maggie Posey, ordered a grande Iced Chestnut Praline Latte from the Chapel Creek Fort Worth Starbucks. The temperature was exactly what I expected nice and cold. I’ve never had a chestnut before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but chestnut praline is exactly the flavor that came through. Though the temperature was cold, it tasted warm, cozy, and like the holidays. The toppings on top consisted of whipped cream and a sprinkle of spiced sugar, making its appearance a very Christmas aesthetic. I ordered the drink on the app when I was around 3.8 miles away, and the drink was ready and waiting for me when I got there. If I had to change something about this drink for next time, I would definitely order it without the whipped cream. Maybe it was just because I reviewed this drink early in the morning, but I found it a touch too sweet. Overall though a little on the sweeter side, the Iced Chestnut Praline Latte is a creamy and delicious holiday drink that I would highly recommend. I would rate this lovely drink an 8.5/10
I, Makena Schimmels, was hoping to get a peppermint hot chocolate from Starbucks as a part of their holiday drink collection. Their holiday drinks were released a few weeks ago and are already out of peppermint. I decided to just go with a regular hot chocolate, which was terrible. It was not hot and super bitter tasting. Not only was I let not getting peppermint, but the regular hot chocolate that I had to settle for was not close to being good. The weird thing was I had had a regular hot chocolate from Starbucks before, and I really liked it. The drink’s presentation was good, just in a Christmas cup, but when I poured the drink out, it was an extremely dark brown, not the usual color for hot chocolate. The drive-through took a long time, but the staff members were very friendly and cheerful. I love Starbucks, but maybe that day was an off day. Overall, my average rating is 3/10.
The overall rating is 6.2/10, making these holiday drinks YUMMY.
