Creepin’ it real: What’s hot (and what’s not) this Halloween
Your answers from our Halloween Survey are here. From favorite fright-night flicks to the most-loved (and most-hated) candies, we’ve tallied the spooky stats!
- Most student have voted that Reese’s were their favorite candy. Coming in second is Twix and third is Sour Patch Kids.
- Like many, All Saints’ students have Halloween traditions. Some go all out on costumes, others visit Six Flags’ Fright Fest, but most carve or paint pumpkins.
- Over half of students said they’ve never been pranked. One shared swapping mayo for yogurt and tricking their parents by eating it from the jar.
- Most students said they don’t want new Halloween traditions, but a few suggested ideas like a Halloween-themed Secret Santa or a candy-eating contest.
- Most students said they spend Halloween hanging out with family and friends or going trick-or-treating, while others enjoy parties or baking.
- Most students (87.1%) still dress up for Halloween, while 12.9% do not. Of those dressing up, 77.4% buy their costumes, 12.9% make them from scratch, and 9.7% thrift them.
- Students were split 50/50 on preferring spooky/scary or fun/silly Halloween. One said spooky is the true face of Halloween.

Halloween Around Fort Worth
This October, Fort Worth transforms into a hub of spooky excitement, from family-friendly pumpkin patches to the heart pounding thrills of Six Flags’ Fright Fest!
Six Flags’ Fright Fest opens up on September 12 starting at 6pm and ends November 2. It’s described to be the most haunting and immersive landscape packed with new attractions, haunted houses, and maybe smores making. Six Flags’ is located in Arlington TX. Do plan ahead as this is one of the most anticipated theme parks in the area.
Spirit Halloween is officially back in business. Check out their store close to campus near the Reserve Base at 435 Sherry Lane, Fort Worth, TX 76114.
