In the halls of All Saints’ Episcopal Upper School, excitement is buzzing like electricity in the air. Two weeks remain until the NAIS Student Diversity Leadership Conference (SDLC), an event that promised to be a transformative experience for those lucky enough to attend.
Among them a few were selected to attend the 4-day conference, Starr Anyah ’24, Karma Dailey ’24, Shawn Gordon ’24, and Aubrey Haynes ’24, a group of vibrant students at All Saints’ Episcopal School eagerly anticipate the adventure that awaited them.
School chaperones include Dr. William Matsuzaki, Mr. Aldo Muñoz, and Mrs. Jernee Goods. Anyah, Dailey, Gordon, and Haynes look forward to a journey guided by a diverse team of trained adult and peer facilitators who would serve as the guides of this unique adventure.
They will join student leaders from independent high schools across the United States and beyond, becoming part of a diverse group that would explore the depths of cross-cultural communication, social justice, allyship, and networking.
The conference won’t just be an event; it will become an epic tale of growth, connection, and the pursuit of social justice for the students in attendance.
