This past weekend we decided to try out The Biscuit Bar in the Fort Worth Stockyards. This is the cutest place, and it is paired perfectly with an afternoon walking around the stockyards soaking up the sunshine and popping into different boot shops to experience Fort Worth at its finest. The Biscuit Bar definitely gets busy at lunchtime, but it is, without a doubt, worth the wait and comes quickly once you order. Here’s what we thought…
Makena ordered a bacon egg and cheese biscuit, a side of tater tots and ranch, and a fountain drink. She thought that her sandwich was really good. It has a cheesy sauce and perfect bacon crunch. The eggs were freshly cooked and cooked well. The tater tots tasted homemade, and so did the ranch. However, she tried many of the fountain drinks, and they were all very watered down. Even the lemonade was not good. Overall she rated her meal a 9/10.
Maggie ordered The HOSS. It has southern fried chicken, bacon, jack cheese, house-made gravy, and honey butter. She tried to order the Honeysuckle Latte that is on their online menu, but sadly they weren’t making it at the time. The chicken was crunchy and delicious, and the bacon was very thin, making it super crisp. All the different flavors mixed together deliciously and balanced each other out perfectly. Though she was sad about the latte, the biscuit was so amazing it made up for it. Overall she rates this meal a 10/10 and plans to go back frequently, making this one of her favorite meals so far.
Hannah ordered the Hot Honey Biscuit and a plain Tater Tots with the complementary side of ranch. The biscuit was not too spicy if you are worried about that, but still hot enough when paired with the sweet honey was amazing. The chicken was very flavourful and crunchy, and the actual biscuit was so warm and soft that all these flavors combined together created the perfect union of the Hot Honey Biscuit. It was delicious, but if you’re not willing to get your hands messy, this is not the place for you because the sauce was quite sticky. I would definitely go back to the Biscuit Bar, and I would rate this meal 10/10
