- Sweetened yogurt. The average cup of sweetened yogurt is 30g of sugar. That is the same as eating a chocolate bar. Instead of eating a cup of sweetened yogurt you can buy plain greek yogurt and blend it with fruits and a little honey as an alternative.
- Store bought muffins. They seem healthy but in reality they are not. The muffins have an average of 36 grams of sugar, and can cause you to “crash” later in the day.
- Hazelnut-chocolate spread. You may think it is a healthier alternative but if you compare the health facts to chocolate frosting, they are very similar. Also, the use of palm oil is a reason to avoid this product, as producing palm oil is one of the most detrimental things to our rainforests.
- Vitamin water. Water and vitamins are very healthy for your nutrition. But when you combine them together and use unnecessary chemicals and coloring it becomes unhealthy. Also, the plastic bottles create more waste for our planet. You are better off drinking plain water with a lemon or a mint in a reusable water bottle.
- Granola bars. There are many brands of granola bars that are healthy but the majority are not. They consist of junk food hidden behind oats.
