Going to look at Christmas lights is one of many Christmas traditions. It brings you joy and is very easy to do. For kids this experience is magical. Fort Worth has some spectacular Christmas light shows and neighborhoods to visit.
The most fantastic show is at the Fort Worth at Cook Children’s. Cook Children’s makes their buildings and walkways a winter wonderland. From gigantic presents and snowmen to hundreds of strung lights. Cook Children’s puts up lights every year in order to make their patients smile. It is truly a spectacular sight. There is no show to go to nor do you need to make an appointment but you can just drive over there and walk around.
Lights on Grassland is a great drive-by Christmas Light show. Drive-by shows are super nice for young families because your kids will not get tired walking around and you can stay in the comfort and warmth of your car. Lights on Grassland is located at 7809 Grassland Dr, Fort Worth, TX. It opens at 5:50 PM and there is no admission fee.
Another fun option is the Fort Worth Parade of Lights. It has amazing reviews. This is truly an experience. People come together to create Christmas floats and drive around to show them off. The parade has already happened this year but you are already able to reserve tickets for next year. It is on November 19, 2023, at 6:00 PM. To learn more information about this event visit their website https://fortworthparadeoflights.org/parade-information/street-seats/. It takes a lot of planning to put on this show because streets need to shut down across multiple city blocks. Make sure you don’t miss this show next year!
Finally, you can just drive through neighborhoods near you. If you don’t feel like going to a show just hop into your car and drive around. You will be surprised at how many spectacular houses you will see.
