The 2025 National Championship game in my opinion was over before it even started. What I mean by that is just looking at Ohio State’s defense alone you could tell that Ohio State was gonna give Notre Dame a hard time.

 Coach Knox himself said he knew just looking at the offensive line and defensive line from both teams he could tell Ohio State was bound to win. The New York Times says they are even projected to win next year’s natty. 

Ohio State has always been widely known for its amazing defense and they put that on display against Notre Dame Especially their defensive line and linebackers. What makes it even more impressive is how they were able to stop Notre Dame’s run game considering how Notre Dame relies heavily on their front five offensive linemen.

Ohio State was 5-5 in the red zone Notre Dame was only 1-2 in the red zone Ohio State also had 214 rushing yards Notre Dame had only 53 rushing yards. Ohio State had 7 Tackles For Loss for a total of 25 yards for loss Notre Dame had 5 Tackles For Loss for only 12 total yards for loss.
