All Saints’ upper school students next semester will be required to turn in their phones at the beginning of each class. This is better for the teachers because it minimizes the students’ distractions during their lessons.
Students will get their phones back after class and will be able to have them otherwise during the school day, like during lunch. Students may not like these changes because they like to socialize online on their social media. An argument has been made that phones are helpful because they use them to look things up.
The flip side of this is that no phones during class will prevent students from cheating and using AI. Some students strongly feel this new policy is a bad thing, while others may think that it will benefit their use of class time. Let us know what you guys think down below!
