After the 10th weekend of college football, there were five games in which two ranked teams played each other. In three of the five ranked matchups, the games ended in two score wins, and in the other two games, they finished in a one score close game between the teams.
#2 Georgia hosted #12 Missouri, and they won the game 30-21. Georgia won because of their 3rd quarter surge, where they scored 14 points. Their defense also helped, forcing two interceptions from Missouri’s quarterbacks. #5 Washington went to Los Angeles and beat #20 USC 52-42. Washington was led to their win by their running back, Dillon Johnson, who rushed for 256 yards and four touchdowns. They were also helped by their 2nd quarter surge, scoring 28 points in the 2nd quarter. #8 Alabama hosted #14 LSU and beat them 42-18. A primary reason they won is because of their consistent scoring in every quarter. They were led by their quarterback, Jalen Milroe, who had 219 yards of passing, 155 rushing yards, and four rushing touchdowns.
#7 Texas hosted #23 Kansas State and won 33-30 overtime. The reason Texas won was because of a clutch defensive stop in overtime. They were led by their running back, Jonathon Brooks, who rushed for 112 yards and one touchdown. #22 Oklahoma State hosted #9 Oklahoma and won the game 27-24. Oklahoma State was led by their running back, Ollie Gordon II, who had 237 yards on the ground and two rushing touchdowns. They also were led by a touchdown and field goal in the 4th quarter to win the game.
