The newly Texas Rangers lineup has spent some serious money in the past 2 offseason. Last year, we got 2 of some of the best infielders in Corey Seager and Marcus Semien. Last season had its ups and downs, but unfortunately it was not good enough to make the playoffs. Rangers fans were upset and they knew they realized what their problem was: the need for new pitching. Our offensive side of the ball last year did above average, just the pitching holding us back allowing over 5 runs a game.

This past winter offseason, the Texas Rangers spent nearly 260 million dollars on new and improved pitching. First of all, we got our ace, Jacob Degrom. Degrom has proved himself to be one of the best pitchers in the Major Leagues over the past few years. Next up on the pitching rotation is veteran Nathan Eovaldi. Eovaldi has had great success in his previous years with the Red Sox, and now we are hoping his 98 mph fastball still has some gas left in the tank.
Coming up next is Texas Rangers legend (as of last year) Martin Perez. Perez was our star pitcher last year which he made the All star team and even at parts of the year led the MLB in ERA. 4th and 5th on our rotation come in as Jon Gray and Andrew Heaney, which both have a good amount of experience and know how to handle all of the heat from the 162 game season. Hopefully, the Texas Rangers turn things around this year and turn this 2023 team into a solid playoff contending team.
