Homecoming week at All Saints Episcopal School is always lively, with many staff members joining their spirited students in dressing up.
The teachers in the All Saints Episcopal community believe it’s important to participate in the themed days with students to demonstrate their school spirit and support for our football team and the ASES community. Jen Jones emphasizes, “I do think it’s important for teachers to dress up, as it shows students that we support them and are part of the community.” Many of our cherished teachers thoroughly enjoyed the first theme of the week: pajama day. Clint Foster shares, “My favorite theme to participate in this year was pajama day. I was excited to wear my Super Mario pants.” Jones adds, “I would say my favorite theme was pajamas. Everyone loves being in comfy clothes, and I do too.”
The teachers found Salad Dressing Day to be the most creative theme. They loved witnessing students from different grades dressing creatively to fit the theme. Jones comments, “The salad dressing theme was very creative.” Foster agrees, “But my favorite day overall was probably Salad Dressings. It was fun to see all the creative ways the students dressed according to the theme.”
Jones and Foster also mentioned some of their favorite student costumes, as well as their own inventive and fun outfits. Foster recalls, “It’s hard to remember who dressed as what, but I definitely remember Olive Anne’s shark-attack outfit, Ried and Ella’s Greek god look, and Blake’s biker costume.” Jones enjoyed dressing up herself, stating, “Betsy, Denny, and I also wore matching Harley Davidson shirts on Biker day.” She adds, “Dani Ramirez loves to dress up during theme weeks, so we always participate.”
In conclusion, the week leading up to Homecoming is a blast, with theme days being enjoyed by both teachers and students. This creates an incredible atmosphere for everyone in preparation for the big game and the dance.
